Mosaic FireplaceThe fireplace was fabricated by Gordon Johanson with the understanding that Darlene would mosaic tile it. It took her 4 years to build up the courage to begin the project and 5 months to complete it. Darlene does not Paint when she is on a tile project and the painting that she did after the fire place hangs to the left of it and is called "Bla"...go figure.

Mosaic Monopoly FloorThe Mosaic Monopoly floor measures 20’ by 20’ and nods to the childhood playfulness of life. The gigantic game pieces were fabricated by Darlene’s husband John and their daughter Erinn. The pieces are to scale for the board, and they were made from wire lath and mortar and plaster. They weigh about 100 pounds each. Three pieces were made; the shoe, the thimble and the iron.
